Mercedes-Benz is playing catch-up in China with its European luxury rivals, and making notable progress. The OEM's deliveries in China rose 12.6% year-on-year to 20,871 units last month, thanks in part to its revamped distribution and retail strategy, including consolidation of its previously separate wholesale networks. "Retail excellence is key to our sustainable development in China," commented Hubertus Troska, member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG responsible for China.
