Interview: Johannes-Joerg Rueger, President, CV & Off-road Group, Bosch

Bosch’s new CVO group is exploring in-depth the opportunities that will come with a better connected commercial vehicle sector. By Xavier Boucherat

2016 saw Bosch’s Mobility Solutions business launch the Commercial Vehicles and Off-road group (CVO), in response to connectivity and autonomy trends in the commercial vehicle sector. What were once merely ‘promising ideas,’ said the company in July 2016, had now become far more than that. At the time of launch, Johannes-Joerg Rueger, President of the new organisation, said the group was incomparable to any other group within the mobility solutions business. CVO, he said, would be able to exploit opportunities through equal parts sales and integrated system development.
