Inside Mitsubishi’s Michigan R&D facility

Michael Nash visits MMNA’s R&D facility in Michigan and speaks to the company’s President and Chief Engineer

Located just outside Ann Arbor, Michigan, the Mitsubishi Motors North America (MMNA) R&D facility has been operating for 40 years, employing around 40 workers. The primary use of the centre is to carry out a variety of tests on new technologies that find their way to the US passenger vehicle market. This includes anything from emissions testing on a chassis dynamometer to on-road testing of infotainment systems. The OEM also has a handful of competitor vehicles at the centre to conduct benchmarking analysis.
