Maruti Udyog is planning to progressively replace units from its Suzuki F-series gasoline engine family, currently fitted to its 800, Alto, Wagon R and newly launched Zen Estilo hatchbacks, with new ‘K-series’ engines by the end of 2008, according to India’s Financial Express newspaper.
