The Ministry of Heavy Industries has approved the sale of the government’s 10.24% stake in Indian manufacturer Maruti Udyog.
At the current market price, the government stake is valued at Rs25bn (US$537.87m). The government intends to use the proceeds of the sale to revive ailing public sector enterprises.
