Hyundai's US sales have been flagging, and the OEM is now counting on a new sponsorship deal with the National Football League (NFL) to kick-start momentum. Its US sales fell 10% in May, one of the stronger sales months in general thanks to warmer weather and Memorial Day sales offerings. The decline prompted Hyundai Motor America's Bob Pradzinski, Vice President National Sales, to admit: "May proved to be a bit difficult for us as it appears more customers were out looking for big trucks and SUVs than cars."
