Go east: seating suppliers look to China

A new report by China Market Research Reports highlights China as a key growth region for global seating suppliers.

According to the report, there are currently “three camps” of global automotive seating manufacturers: North America, Japan and Europe, which hold roughly 50%, 30% and 13% respectively. The report highlights a weakening supply base of Japanese seating manufacturers, as the market share has dropped from 36% in 2010 to 30% today.
