Full-size pick-up facility gets significant portion of GM’s US$5.4bn investment

With its light truck segment performing especially well, and sales of its full-size pick-ups continuing to rise, GM has announced US$1.2bn for its full-size pick-up plant in Fort Wayne

Less than a week after General Motors announced a US$439m investment at its manufacturing facility in Bowling Green, Kentucky, the OEM has announced the next recipient of its overall investment plans of US$5.4bn spread over a three-year period. GM has earmarked a significant portion of this total investment, amounting to US$1.2bn, for the Fort Wayne Assembly Plant in Indiana.
