Fuel-efficient pick-ups prove diesels can smash the standards

GM has voiced its pride in its pick-up portfolio, following new EPA certifications

What do consumers look for in a pick-up? Size, power and performance, but also fuel economy. That’s according to GM, which recently announced that US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) tests have revealed the GMC Canyon and Chevrolet Colorado as two of the most fuel-efficient pick-ups ever.

For both models, the OEM was eager to point out that “extensive tests” were carried out to carefully examine and evaluate the emission control systems.
