Capital investment in the global automotive sector continues to rise, but the growth rate is slowing compared to last year and should slow further into 2015. Standard & Poor's Global Corporate Capital Expenditure Survey for 2014 showed an estimated 3.9% growth in capex for all automotive vehicle and component manufacturers for 2014, compared to a 6.1% growth in 2013.
