ACEA calls for a “comprehensive approach” in reducing emissions ahead of COP21

Europe’s automotive industry could further reduce its environmental impact by adopting a holistic approach

From 30 November to 11 December 2015, representatives of over 180 countries will congregate in Paris for the 21st Conference of Parties (COP21) to discuss the final text of a new treaty that aims to limit the world’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and prevent global temperatures from rising above two degrees.

In the build up to the conference, the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) has issued a paper that describes how the automotive industry can reduce its impact on the environment, with a focus on promoting a “holistic and comprehensive approach.”
