During the Paris motor show, where Kia gave premieres to its new Carens MPV and pro-ceed hatchback, the OEM also confirmed that it aims to launch an electric version of the Soul crossover for European markets in 2014.

The all-new Soul EV will be the first volume-exported EV from Kia, though last year the OEM launched a Ray EV (also exhibited at the 2012 Paris motor show) with a 50kW electric motor and a stated range of 86 miles, exclusively for its domestic market.

Several heavily-disguised prototypes of a fully-revamped Soul have reportedly been seen on European and US roads recently.
