Suzuki has confirmed plans to set up a new engine plant in Jakarta. The OEM’s Indonesian unit, Suzuki Indomobil Motor (SIM), has acquired a 1.3 million sq-m site in the industrial zone located east of Jakarta for ¥10bn (US$130m). The new plant will make engines and engine components.
